Here we are in HK again!
We had five enjoyable days in Hong Kong, catching up with old friends including OWs. Once again we chose a hotel with a view over the harbour, from where we watched the busy shipping as well as the resident birdlife – egrets down on the water, and black kites swooping up to the window and then down low over the water to scavenge. We had some good walks, round Hong Kong Park and the Zoological and Botanical Gardens and the aviary, and up to the Peak. Lots of stunning, brightly coloured butterflies among the flowers, and interesting birds. We rode on trams and crossed over to Tsim Sha Tsui on the ferry. In Kowloon we revisited the Museum of the History of Hong Kong, though we still need to return. We also called in to the old Governor’s residence, Flagstaff House, to see the fascinating Museum of Teaware – including lots of information on the growing, preparation and drinking of different types of tea. We also had some delicious Chinese food as well as a splendid afternoon tea. Then we packed our bags and headed for the airport and on to Sydney.

Thanks reminds me is my visit there some years ago. See you for New Year.
